Dr. Lily Mark-Maasdam
Dr. Lily grew up in South Bend, Indiana and earned her Bachelors of Science from the University of Notre Dame. After graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1998, she took a chance and moved west to practice in Iowa. Providing high level medical optometry in Knoxville, Dr. Lily and her husband, Dr. Jason, have owned and cared for their patients together at Eye Health Solutions for over 25 years.
When not at work, Dr. Lily loves playing and coaching tennis, cooking and entertaining, and listening to 80’s new wave music, all interests which she has passed on to her lovely daughters, Olivia and Janie. Together, the Maasdam family dote on Cosmo, their Zuchon fur baby whose photos have overtaken Dr. Lily’s camera roll on her phone.
Dr. Jason Maasdam
Dr. Jason is an Iowa native and graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and Illinois College of Optometry. He graduated with clinical honors in the treatment and management of ocular disease. His clinical training includes ocular disease training at the University of Chicago, Sidney Hillman Health Center in Chicago, the Illinois Eye Institute, and Tuscaloosa Veterans Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. His professional interests include glaucoma, dry eye, and the application of technology in health care. Keeping Eye Health Solutions at the forefront of optometric care and technology is a passion of his. When Dr. Jason is not in the office you can find him spending time with family or running on a trail somewhere.
